1-2-3-SNAP!

Today we learned a new math game called 1-2-3-SNAP! It is super easy and fun to play. All you need to play the game is 5 connecting cubes and a partner. Partners sit across from each other. Then one friend takes the connected cubes and puts them behind their back. They say "1-2-3-SNAP" and then break the connected cubes into two pieces. They bring one had to the front to show their partner. Their partner guesses how many cubes are missing (or how many more they need to make 5). Then they bring the other hand to the front to see if their partner was right. After they both use some "math talk" and say for example "2 and 3 make 5." (2+3=5) Then the partners switch roles and play again. We are getting really good and fast at our math facts!
