Over the past few weeks, we have read many Goldilocks and the Three Bear stories. We were very upset with all the naughty things that Goldilocks did in the stories. First, she broke into the bears house, she stole food and then she even broke their property. We knew we had to put a stop to this behavior, so we opened up our own Kindergarten Police Station. As you can see we have been busy writing up police case files, looking for clues and solving "police problems" that happen in the classroom. It has been very busy work!
To make sure everyone knew who the Kindergarten Police were looking for, we created WANTED posters for the "criminal" Goldilocks. The case was even reported in the newspaper. We got some really great information about the case there.
The day finally came and the Kindergarten Police Department were ready to take action. First we dressed the part complete with badges and police hats. We even thought of some great questions we could ask as we went out to look for her.

| Ready for action! |
| First we tried the grade 1 room. We looked around and saw 2 possible suspects, but they had glasses, so Ms. Jensen said we should check with Ms. Mondor in the office. |
| Ms. Mondor said she had not seen here either. She printed out Goldilocks class schedule to help us figure out where to look next. |
| We tried the gym next. Mrs. Rogala said we just missed her. She was describing what this little girl she saw looked like (she had a bow in her hair) and we knew it had to be Goldilocks. Mrs. Rogala said she was crying and then threw kleenex on the floor. She sent her to see Mrs. Aremu so she could help her with her problem. |
| Mrs. Aremu was very upset when we got to her room. She said that Goldilocks was just there and she sent her to Mrs. McDonald because she had stole her recess snack. We don't steal at school Mrs. Aremu said. |
| Mrs. McDonald also said Goldilocks was just in her office. She did not like Goldilocks behavior either. Mrs. McDonald went to answer the phone and when she turned around, Goldilocks was GONE!!!! |
| Lucky we found Goldilocks hair ribbon and put it in an evidence bag. |
| Checking out all the clues we found on our mission. |

| Looking ready for anything in our Police Hats and Badges! |
| We thought Goldilocks might be in the grade 1/2 room so we checked it out. Mrs. Chumola even said to look under her desk. No luck here so we went to check with the office. |
| Ms. Mondor said she hadn't seen Goldilocks today, but it can get very busy in the office so she wasn't 100% |
| Ms. Mondor printed off Goldilocks schedule so we could figure out where to look first. Her schedule said she should be in the gym. So off to the gym we ran! |
Mrs. Rogala said we just missed Goldilocks if you can believe it. Goldilocks was running around the gym like crazy and then started to cry. Mrs. Rogala gave her come kleenex and told her she needed some quiet time in the computer room.
| Bagging up the kleenex evidence that Goldilocks left. |
| Mrs. Westergard was relieved to see the Kindergarten Police. Goldilocks had given her some trouble as well. Mrs. Westergard said she was busy helping her kids on the computers when Goldilocks came up to the room. She didn't notice her at first, but when she went to eat part of her lunch.... it was missing. She couldn't prove that is was Goldilocks, but when we got to the room, we found the EMPTY wrapper. |
| Empty wrapper in the evidence bag |
| We finally made it back to the office. Mrs. McDonald was working at her desk. We showed her all the clues we had found, but she was not able to help us either. She helped us figure out what the right thing to do in school is when we have a problem. We know that we don't run away from our problems, or steal. We talk about the issues. |

Wow, this Goldilocks sure sounds like a naughty girl. I hope she gets caught quickly!
