Teddy Bear Picnic

During group time this month, we have been going on a bear hunt. It is a fun movement song where we get to use our imaginations.  Today something was wrong with the Smartboard and we could not do the song.  Instead we got to go on a real "Bear Hunt" around the school.  As we went, we found different baskets of food that were filled with treats for our Teddy Bear Picnic.

First we went through the wheat field and found Teddy Grams.
Then we crossed a bridge and found goldfish crackers.

Next we came to the tree and picked up some Honey Comb cereal.

After we came to a river and found a basket full of juice boxes.

Finally we found the cave with the bear.
We saw "two eyes, and a big furry body... lets take a picture... run its a bear"
After we found the bear, we ran back to our classroom with a basket full of cupcakes.

Once we got back from our bear hunt, we made yummy patterns with all the treats we found.

Then we played a dice game where we rolled two dice and added the numbers together.  We got to use bingo dabbers to cover up the number we rolled.

To finish off our busy day, we enjoyed a Teddy Bear Picnic.  We ate yummy cupcakes, had berry juice and watched Corduroy on the Smartboard.  It was a great day!
