Documenting our Learning

The kindergartens have been very busy exploring how to document their learning.  Our first experience with documenting was when we had our "Pattern Party."  There were three different tables set up with a variety of materials.  The students were asked to make a pattern.  Then they had to add a slip of paper with their name on it so everyone would know who made each pattern. Then we used our iPads to take a picture.  The iPads were a little hard to hold at first, but everyone got the hang of it.  After all the patterns were made, and pictures were taken, we used the app Pic Collage to displayed all 3 patterns on one page.

The kindergartens also documented their learning of how they can sort different objects.  Everyone really likes using the iPads to show their learning.

Now that the students are becoming more comfortable using the iPads to take pictures, they are eager to use this tool to share all of the interesting things they are doing. The next step we are going to work on is to write about our pictures and tweet or learning!

Here is a sneak peak of what some students have been working on in the classroom this week.
