QR Codes and a Gingerbread House

Today was a super fun and busy day in the kindergarten room!  To begin our learning about The Gingerbread Man, we went on a QR code hunt.  First, we learned how to scan a QR code with an app called I-nigma.  We had to look around the classroom and find 5 different codes. The codes were labeled A-E.  Once we had scanned the code a picture came up on the i-pad. We had to write down how many animals were in the picture and the name of the animal.

We also turned our house centre into a gingerbread house today.  First we asked our caretaker to nail up a piece of cardboard. Then we decided we had to have a door and a window so we could get in and out.  The morning class painted some yummy frosting onto the cardboard.  The afternoon class painted the candy roof.  All the kids helped colour and cut out all the delicious candy.

  1. I really like your Gingerbread house. You all chose wonderful colours for it and the candies. I especially loved the lollipop garden. From Ms.Dowds Mom
