TIA - Indigenous Artist

This week we were so lucky to have Mrs. Alexander, an Indigenous artist visit our classroom.  

She brought many different artifacts that reflected her culture.  We were able to explore and feel each of the items and tried to imagine what some things might have been used for.  She introduced us to the medicine wheel and how it symbolizes balance, the seasons, directions, and family.  

We also played different games and danced to pop wow music.
