Keith Haring Part 1

Each class at our school is making a decade room to help celebrate our school's 100th birthday. The kindergartens are so lucky and get to learn a little about the 80's!  Today we learned about graffiti artist Keith Haring.  First we watched a little clip that showed all the different types of art he did.  We really liked how all the people in his art seemed to be dancing and moving even though they were painted on buildings, canvas and even made into sculptures.

First we drew a dancing person with pencil and then outlined it with a sharpie.

Second we painted our dancing person with one neon colour.

Look at that concentration!

Then we added little lines to make it look like the person was dancing.

Finally we painted the background with another colour!
