The Integrated Arts - Drama

This week we have been so lucky to have an actor come to our class. Laura visited our class three times. On each visit she thoughtfully explained the different aspects of acting by teaching us a variety of drama games.

On day one we played a game that taught us some acting "lingo."  First she mapped out the "stage" in the classroom and we learned the different locations actors need to be on the stage. We practised standing right, left, up, down and center stage in actor's neutral.  Then we learned some of the names of different people at the theatre and a few different things actors do.  Check out our awesome acting skills.

On Day two we played a game where you had to be a partners reflection. We also practised showing different emotions and being different characters from a book.

On our last visit, we learned about tableau.  A tableau is a frozen picture made up of bodies representing a scene.   Can you guess what we are in our tableaus?
