International Dot Day

Today we celebrated International Dot Day in Kindergarten.

When we walked into the kindergarten room, we noticed that our big dots were displayed on the wall.    We really liked looking at our artwork that we create together!

We watched "The Dot" on the Smartboard and then we went to work to create some more dots!


We each got our own wooden dot and carefully started to paint.  We know that artists take their time and do their best work. When all the dots are finished we are going to hang them in the shape of a heart.  Each dot is beautiful and original, but when we put them together they are going to look fantastic!  When we work together and collaborate, great things can happen!







Since it was dot day, we had to wear dots too!  EVERYONE in kindergarten came to school with dots on.  Some were big, some small, and some were of their own creation!





To finish off our day, we drew some dots just like Vashti did in the story.  We even signed our dots!  As we drew, we listened to The Dot song a few times.
