Today was DINO DAY, and what a fun day it was! We have been waiting for this day to come all month! To get ready for this day of sharing with our families, we learned poems, songs and even a dinosaur dance. We created a dinosaur diorama, wrote some dinosaur stories and even made a dinosaur fossil sculpture of of biodegradable packing peanuts.
Here are a few examples of our dioramas. Everyone took their time creating a special home for their dinosaur. Some dinosaurs lived inside places like our bedrooms while other lived outside and played on the swings. Then we used model magic to create our dinosaurs and we coloured them with markers to make each and everyone one special and unique.
We also got to experiment with biodegradable packing peanuts. All we did was dab the peanut on a wet paper towel and then stuck it to another peanut. Everyone created a fabulous three dimensional dinosaurs fossil.
